What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you are immersed in layers of soothing sound and vibration.

Unlike a traditional meditation where you may be concentrating on your breathing or trying to quieten your thoughts, during a sound bath there’s nothing you need to do or achieve. You simply lie back or sit comfortably and allow yourself to listen.

The changing sounds and vibrations create an environment where you can step away from everyday distractions and give your mind and body permission to slow down.

A Moment Just for You

Life can be noisy. Work, family, responsibilities, notifications and never ending to do lists can make it difficult to find genuine time to switch off.

A sound bath gives you that space.

For a little while, there’s nowhere else you need to be and nothing else you need to do. It’s an opportunity to pause, breathe and enjoy some uninterrupted time for yourself.

People can experience sound baths differently, but many enjoy them as part of their wellbeing routine and leave feeling deeply relaxed, peaceful and refreshed.

What to Expect

If you’ve never experienced a sound bath before, don’t worry, you don’t need to know anything beforehand.

When you arrive, you’ll have time to settle into the space and make yourself comfortable. Carrie will welcome you and guide you through the experience, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Once everyone is settled, all you need to do is relax.

You can close your eyes, allow your attention to settle on the sounds around you and enjoy having nowhere else to be. At the end of the session, you’ll be gently brought back before having time to gather yourself and leave at your own pace.

Implanted medical devices
If you have a pacemaker, ICD, cochlear implant or another implanted medical/electronic device, please disclose this before booking.

Important

A sound bath is a complementary wellbeing experience. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

I do not make claims that particular frequencies or sounds can diagnose or medically treat a specific condition.I will take reasonable steps to provide a safe and comfortable environment, including appropriate sound levels and the opportunity for you to communicate any discomfort.

However, individual responses to sound and vibration vary, and participation is voluntary.

By booking and attending, you confirm that you have provided relevant health information to the best of your knowledge, have read this information, have had the opportunity to ask questions, and understand that you may stop participating at any time.

If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have recently undergone surgery or have any concern about whether sound or vibration is suitable for you, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before participating.

I had a really positive experience with Carrie’s hypnotherapy and sound bath sessions. Carrie is lovely, friendly and really easy to get on with which made me feel comfortable and relaxed straight away.

The sessions were incredibly relaxing and I’ve noticed a real difference in my confidence and especially my sleep. I always came away feeling calmer and more positive.

Joined Carrie last night for my first sound bath. Carrie is, as in everything she does, excellent.

The whole experience I would recommend to everyone. I felt completely relaxed and oh so chilled. I slept better than I have done in years. The sounds were beautiful. It’s an experience I can’t explain but one you need to try.
